I would like to take the opportunity to respond to the comment made in regard to Holy Family Preschool. I enrolled my son there last year in the three year old program. I was VERY NERVOUS because he was/is a very active boy. From the moment he began school there I knew I had made the right decision and I knew this was the right place for him. He has some behavioral concerns which we are addressing by seeking professional assistance. Every single staff member at the school has supported us 110% in our efforts to help our son overcome his behavioral challenges. In fact, I think they have gone above and beyond helping us to prepare our son for kindergarten next year. They are the MOST understanding and easy to work with and talk to people I could have ever asked for. I am very saddened by the thought of him leaving at the end of this year. My daughter was kicked out of the preschool at holy family after only four times, even though I was told the children get a month to adjust to the setting and the director told me that most kids take a few months. Instead of approaching me with her having "problems", they stuck a note in her backpack informing me that I should withdraw my child. The director had the nerve to tell me that my daughter had "problems" but would not elaborate exept to say she could not carry her blanket around, even though the teacher said she could when I enrolled her there. The teacher was made me feel like I was bothering her when I asked about how my child was doing. The whole experience from the time I went there to today was awful to say the least. Kids as young as 18 months are made to sit and cry, I even offered to pick one up b/c I felt sorry for her. The environment is beyond the structure that kids uner two should have to adhere to. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone‎
