Great theater getting better
This is the theater I grew up with in the Hollywood neighborhood. Back when I was a kid, however, the Hollywood showed crap like Encino Man and Ghostbusters 2 as a double feature for $1.50. There were usually a dozen kids or so rioting in the first row all throughout the film, spitting on the floor and throwing popcorn. There was also a sizeable hole in the men's bathroom, from which you could see the street.
Thankfully, times have changed and the theater has been restored. It's now a classy art-house theater--and still cheaper than a matinee at a first-run Regal house.
