Outstanding food at Great Prices
First off the Happy Price menu is a crazy value. Hokusai is definitely helping you fight the recession. I like this place after work for a few drinks and apps with friends and clients. The bar is open and bright and looks out onto Wilshire blvd. The Happy Price will leave you some cash in your pocket too.

If you sit for dinner you have to have the Squid Pasta , Crispy Spicy Tuna, Dancing with the Stars ( Spicy Tuna roll wrapped with Albacore with Crispy onions ) mmmm, now I'm hungry ,,,The saute'd Jumbo Scallop and the Beef Wrapped Asparagus are also excellent. If you are adventurous the Uni and the Spanish Mackerel are killer. The Yellow Tail sushi is really buttery and there is an Albacore dish I had last week with onions in a ponsu sauce ( i think ) that was off the hook.

This is a small place with a good vibe too, I hope you like it as much as I do. Excellent fish at the best prices in town.

Thanks Hokusai

Hokusai is Hella Hot!
Great place and awesome space in Bev Hills. The greeting alone is enough to make you feel great, but when you look at the menu and then sample the fantastic fare, well - nirvana. Seriously very fresh and good sushi and great people....I have been back many times...it is just consistently great.

Helping Us Out during a Tough Economy
I'm new to LA and like everyone on a tight budget. My coworker orders a box lunch from them a couple of times a week and it looked really good. We went for drinks after work last night and they told us about a new menu, Happy Price. I am a huge sushi fan and couldn't believe the great prices for a Beverly Hills restaurant. We had handrolls and nigiri sushi, all of the fish was good quality. Usually I hate Happy Hour, since the servers don't make good tips and you get lousy service. Everyone here was very nice and great service. The manager told us that they're just trying to help everyone out during this tough economy. We had a couple of beers, sushi, and other appetizers and walked out of there happy and not spending all of my money. I was amazed to find out that this isn't just for Happy Hour, it's all day long. On one hand, I don't want to tell people about this place and just keep it to myself, but on the other hand I know there are a lot of people like me who can't afford to go out and eat much. I was dying for good sushi that I could afford. I will be back to this restaurant and to help them out telling my friends too. Remember to look at the "Happy Price" menu.

Eat in and take out!
Hokusai has long been our favorite for happy hour, with a great bar menu, silent sports TV and great talk. Now there's a new wrinkle -- For lunch and dinner, there are bento boxes available for $7 -- chicken, salmon, gyoza, sushi rolls,etc-- and prime accompaniments. Go for the drinks, and take home a bento box for dinner. It's a great way to have high quality at reasonable price.
