We've had three dogs and three cats treated at Hillcrest over the last twenty years. We've had several pets get treated here for their entire life. The health care and the customer service has always been great. We don't usually write reviews but were troubled by the negative experience one reviewer apparently had. We've had completely the opposite experience. In over twenty years we've only had very positive experience with everybody associated with this clinic. We're surrounded by veterinary clinic options but given our experience with multiple animals being seen here at a variety of ages, we've certainly seen no reason to look elsewhere for care.

This is a great place. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the doctors are thorough, kind and compassionate. I have cats and exotic/ pocket pets, and I am pleased to have found a place where my unusual animals get cared for with as much compassion, detail and commitment as my more typical pets do.They more than meet my expectations and they do offer quality care to reptiles and pocket pets.I have referred my friends over the years, and they are pleased as well.Good people, good care.

Summary:

We took our Holland Lop bunny rabbit to Hillcrest Veterinary Clinic in Pleasant Hill, CA and experienced some very poor customer service and ultimately they did not seem to care for the well being of our animal. An integral part of this is the scam they run with regard to how they dispense and charge customers for medication.

Chief Complaint:

* Overcharging/Dispensing medication

Ancillary Complaints:

* Improper measuring of dispensed medication

* Lack of cooperation when we asked to be given the prescription (that had already been written) so that we could take our business elsewhere
