Best beer selection
This place has an outstanding beer selection (and scotch and whiskey too!) They also make some damn good food! Try the mac & cheese, the bangers & mash, or a sirloin burger and wash it down with a Twisted Thistle! The atmosphere in here is also wonderful, I just love the decor!

Cozy place, Nice drink menu
Wife, son and I went there for a Sunday dinner. The place is easy to find and the outside looks inviting. Upon entry there were a few dirty tables available and the place was about half full. We saddled up to a dirty table and bussed it ourselves. I gave my wife and son the comfy bench along the wall and I made the mistake of taking a stool toward the bar. The whole dinner people including the waitresses were bumping into me. that was fun!! After about 10 minutes, we found a scrabble board within arms length so we begin a game. After another ten minutes a waitress showed up and asked if we had decided on dinner. We explained how we hadn't received a menu but would like to order some drink first. She said she had been waiting on a big table. (there were eight people at one table who were getting ready to leave and two people at the bar) I ordered a beer, my wife a glass of wine and my son a root beer. My sons root beer and my beer arrived promptly and my wife's glass of wine sat on the bar for another five minutes or so until my wife walked to the bar herself to retrieve it. Somewhere in there we did manage to get our orders in. The food was very good, try the Scotch Egg. I will try this place again, maybe when there are less then 10 people dining so the service can be better.

Good Times at Highland Still House by Brad L. at InsiderPages
I went to Highland Still House for lunch with a co-worker and knew in an instant that our club (fanciers of a Scottish breed of terrier) would have to have an event there.

My wife and I had breakfast there and confirmed my impression. We arranged with Mick and Tammy to reserve the upper floor and hosted a group of about forty folks. With an enviable list of scotches both single malt and blended, an extensive and eclectic tap list, and some downright delicious food (try the salmon! try the Scotch eggs! try the bangers!) it was a huge success and members of our club still recall the event, often suggesting we need to contrive another excuse to return en masse.

Besides the warm hospitality of the staff, my favorite thing about the Still House is that I can get a bottle of Old Peculiar - a brew I'd been reading about in my favorite English mystery novels for years. It's just as tasty as I'd imagined. Give it a try.

Fun Place to Eat by Frances K. at InsiderPages
This restaurant is an interesting place to try some good Irish food. I would recommend going on a nice afternoon or evening so you can sit outside and enjoy the view. The seating inside isn't as good. The food is top notch and service was excellent. Can't beat the beer and drink selection.
