Awful experience. They were 2+ hours late. When we asked why they were late, we received 3 separate reasons. When we spoke with the owner Jim on the phone about the severely late arrival and asked what he was going to do to make it right, he said that they would not provide us with any form of discount, it wasn't their problem. Lastly, they dropped a piece of framed sport memorabilia, shattering the glass case. We found the entire experience distasteful; the staff could not get their stories straight as to why they late, which reeked of dishonesty, and Jim the owner refused to accept any accountability or offer any form of compensation for our inconvenience.

I liked how the company gave me a free in -house quote. The price was competitive and they did not break anything. I would use this company again even though i hate to move.

I just used Hewelt Moving for a local move and I am really glad I chose them. The first company we scheduled cancelled at the last minute and referred us to Hewelt. They accomodated our challenging circumstances, showed up on time and did not damage anything. The crew was very respectful and courteous. I would use them again.

Beware, these company doesn't stand behind any of there guarantees. Crew was a bunch of hacks. They stack furniture without any regard for the condition or protection. When we moved, they damaged several items, including hard wood floors and stairs in the new home. They will not accept responsibility even though we showed them the damage and the supervisor of the crew agreed. They broke two mirrors, damaged a brand new washing machine, and ripped a leather chair. They brought to small of a truck to do the job, and just kept shoving more in there. We were only moving 1 mile when all of this occured. For the price we paid, no the highest or lowest quote, the service was deplorable.

Good service, slimy financial dealings. Movers showed up on time and did a good job. However, they underestimated the hours the move would take and the # of people who should have been on the job. Then they charged us THREE HOURS to drive from our old house to our new house, which is 45 miles away, almost all freeway. We were charged $85/hour for this ridiculous drive. All of our moving party drove the same distance in 45-50 minutes. They said there was nothing they could do since the truck "goes slower" than any other vehicle.

We were told we could protest with their main office, which we did, and which was totally ignored. Then to add insult to injury they sent a form letter to our house thanking us for using them. I would not use them again.
