I had always heard such positive things about child guidance over the years, so they were the first place I called to get help for my child. I am very disapointed. I was promised services that were never rendered. They changed counselers like most people change socks. I waited on a referal for 7 months
that was never made. The worst of all was when I fought for 13 months to get special therapy that my child desperately needs... the school granted it---but child guidance denied it.
Denied it without notifing me! This was the last straw after 3 years being strung along by false promices.

My son was having behavioral problems and was exhibiting signs of adhd, so I placed in counseling with this clinic. At the inital appointment they do a plan of care, and by 1 year the hope to have acheived the goal or gotten closer to it. My son was in their care for almost a year and the didn't even get anywhere near the goal made. In fact his behaviors got worse. Their ad says hey deal with behavior peoblems, aggression, and adhd, but be careful they may not be as experienced as you had thought or hoped.
