The greatest restaurant!!
Heidar Baba Restaurant is truly a phenomenal restaurant. The owners are hard working and sacrifice a lot. The management is incredible with raw talent and great skill for such a young age. Me and my husband dine a lot at different places eating different foods from other cultures and this reastuarant is by far the best. We feel like we are going to a friend's house where we are greeted with friendly faces and great service. For those who complain about the price one suggestion: get a job and stop being so cheap! These people complain because they want a free ride. Heidar Baba is hands down a very unique restaurant with a unique ambiance. We go atleast a few days a week and we will continue to go and support them. God bless them for being able to establish a great business and attracting so many people.

House of HARAM
Avoid this place if you want to save money and convenience. I've been going to this place since 2002. I am very sad and disappointed to see this place going down year after year. The prices are higher than ever, this is one reason they don't have the to go menu on the counter any more.
Service is horrible and they dare to tell you lies about what is available and what is out.... That is the very reason I call this place "house of haram" because they are not honest anymore.
I know this place very well. Since the younger "brother" took over the business, everything has gone down except their profits. And by profit I mean money not the religious profit :0)
Joking aside, you should drive a bit to Glendale and eat your food at many Iranian/Armenian places over there. If you have to HAVE HALAL MEAT with good service and reasonable prices, then say home and cook and grill on your own.
Please take my advise and save yourself some time, money and good times.

You don't have to eat your "halal food" at this place for sure.

Too many stars for a horrible place to eat. I've been going to this place since 2002! Over the years, the service and quality declined and the food prices has risen. For a place right across a community college, it is extremely over priced and horribly managed.
Drive a bit and go to Glendale. You can find many places better than Heidar Baba.
Believe me it is very hard for me to write these words, but I've had it with this place. I live in Pasadena, and it hurts me to see one of my favorite places is going down.
It is very very sad....

Drive 7 1/2 miles to
Don't waste your time stopping into this dump!
Arrived at lunch time and there was only two employees serving the customers.
Ordered the Soltani Kabob (approx 20.00). Came with a salad, but I updgraded to a Greek salad for addl 2.00.
Food arrived.
I got two skewers of meat, and what appeared to look like 2lbs of rice. The salad was not Greek. They add what's called 'feta', but it's not Greek Feta; the olives were soggy (not Kalamta). Don't eat the cheese in the salad. It will cause. Also, can you believe they added broccoli to Greek Salad? Oh yeah, and there is no dressing for the Greek Salad. Our drinks sat empty until we had to flag down to waitress for a refill, but by that time we were already set to go. When the issue of the cheese was brought up to our waitress she replied "Oh, Sorry." When brought the issue was brought up to who appeared to be the manager on duty, she said, "Oh Sorry you no like".
Oh yeah Soda's are 2.50 a cup.

Total bill 27.00.

Thumbs definitely down !

TIP : Drive 7 1/2 miles eat to "Shamshiri" in Glendale.

They have great lunch specials compared to spending almost 30.00 Soltani plate and soda.
