This lodge is very nice. There are A/Cs in all the cabins, and if you just follow the rules, there are no problems. The rules have been put out there by the HEB legal department for the safety of HEB and the employees. I was out at the HEB lodge when this woman was talking about, and they were taking up the whole creek. They were drunk off their butts the whole time and didn't even spend time with their kids. I found a hatchet by the creek while all these small children were running around. I turned it in the to lodge manager who didn't even go down to the creek but maybe twice a day. They are just upset that they didn't get by with trying to break every rule. That is rediculous.

What is not on here is all the other rules and harrassment you will get from the lodge management. We recently were guests of some HEB employees and let me tell you ,yes you stay for free ... who would pay to be treated so rudely. The place has beautiful scenery and has picnic tables and bar b q pits in front of the cabins. You can only drink alcohol in the cabins. So if you want to drink a beer, bar b q and enjoy the outdoors this is not the place for you. Trust me if you are spotted with a cup they will ask you what is in the cup. The lodge management sits and watches you with some their own friends then drives around in a different vehicles looking to catch you. If your child is more than arms length away from you will get told that you need to be near your child. There is a burn ban in effect but at dusk they lock you in and will not open the gate till the morning. Yes you have a key but if a fire broke out do you really have time for a key? The man who acts as if he is Charles Butt himself and own these cabins doesnt wear an employee badge and wow is he rude. Mr. Butt is this your idea of a getaway for your employees? This was not my first time there but it is my last due to the lodge management. I had heard complaints,but from past experience thought this isnt so. Mr. Butt I understand you couldnt put people like this in your store since it is a reflection on you and your company, but always remember your employees are customers too. So if your thinking of Kerrville please think again!!!

This is a private lodge for HEB partners only. It consists of 11 cabins each of which has a full kitchen. Partners stay free after leaving a $25 deposit, which is refunded if everything is left in order. Partners must provide sheets, towels, etc.
Fishing is permited, but it is catch and release. Recent repairs have been made and most cabins are in good shape. There is no air conditioning, but most cabins have good ventalation and ceiling fans.
