Great, cool, nothing bad to say. other then that its been a piece of cake all we need is some icing a little TLC and maybe some cookies

We moved in on june 18th and it semeed like a nice apartment building at first the rent was high of course a 1 bedroom for $1175 in San Pedro. as we started to have problems such as mold big time, leaking walls and a disfunctional sink and tub as well as excessive ants and termites. now if that was bad imagine letting your landlord know which is an investor in the building youd think hed care well no i was wrong he didnt get to us ever hed say he would but never did. we are in the process of moving out and hes trying to wrongfully evict us. boy is he ever wrong he never let the property manager know about any of our problems and only a week ago said we dint want to pay rent and that we had a plumbing issue. i was reaaly made us mad how dare he try to play with our living situationand not th mention our health and money. he messed with the wrong people. and we are going to follow through if our deposit isnt expideted asap. so to all you who rent from j.pr.l. watch out make sure you talk to the office and not your landlord because he will really screw you up.

I lived in a building (in Pasadena, on El Molino and Cordova) run by JPRL Investments for the Hayashi group until January 2007. I was so glad to leave. As you can see on the website of the group itself, their main purpose is to buy apartment buildings, raise the rents hoping to increase the value of the building, and then resell withing two or three years at a big profit. Which means that the interests of the tenants are the last thing on their minds, and it shows. Even the simplest repair could take them weeks to do. The manager of the building where I was was incompetent (he wouldn't even return multiple calls reporting breakdowns), very rude, and treated tenants with contempt.

Avoid if you can.

These people at this property management company- which also own many others like JPRL Investments- dont give a sh*t about anyone who lives in one of their apartment complexes. Repairs are rarely ever taken care of and if they do get fixed it takes weeks! (in some cases months) Rent increases of 40% - that is not a typo - FORTY or more percent (burbank is not rent controled) they have put 14 apartment tenants just about out on the street- no amenities here, i mean none, we are lucky to get a parking spot, that we have to pay for. Look out for property management companies associated with these Hayashi people they will only screw you over, take your money, and ignore you. There is so much more i can say about this company but i have nothing nice to say so i cant type it here. Renters beware!!!!
