Hayasa Motorbikes by Scott H. at InsiderPages
Tyler is an excellent mechanic and an all-around good guy to know. In response to Joshua D.'s review I gotta say - man, who pissed in your cornflakes that morning? Maybe you were having a bad day - nobody likes to be disappointed. As someone who also fixes bikes I can tell you that not every bike can be repaired in a cost effective way. A reasonable response is to accept that fact and move on. It's just business; don't take it so personally. Even if your CB750 is a sweet ride now, it doesn't prove a thing. You may have been willing to put in that labor of love, but it's not fair to expect that of someone who's got a business to run. If that's a difficult concept, you might want to learn a little more about the realities of the workplace before anonymously flaming someone. If I haven't seen a bike, and I make an appointment over the phone, that's not the same as a promise to work on it.

ok, maybe they run hot and cold, but they've been ok to me
I've called a couple of times for advice and stopped in to have my Honda Nighthawk checked out and they've always been great to me. They've never worked on my bike, but instead let me use their tools and showed me what to do with a "this is easy, you can do it so you don't have to pay me" attitude.

total flake, unreliable and rude! by Joshua D. at InsiderPages
This guy, Tyler, is a flake. At least he was the day I met him. We had an appointment, I had the bike towed to him. He only took one look at it and decided he didn't want to work on it after all. He said my bike was a 'bad scene'. He seemed stoned or something and talked like a hippie. Maybe he thinks hes a moto psychic, but if so his powers of perception are lacking. I had to have it towed back home. That was 9 months ago or so. I have since rented a house with a garage, and decided to do all the work on it myself due to my experience with Tyler. It is now running great and looks awesome. I get compliments on it all of the time and it is one of the nicest CB750's I have ever seen. No one would refer to it as a 'bad scene' at this point. I am almost grateful for him being such an *ssh*le, because it motivated me to just do it myself and I've done a much better job than some mechanic who doesn't give a d*mn. I will always remember Tyler from Hayasa as the guy who permenantly soured me on mechanics in general.

If you are looking for a good, RELIABLE mechanic, look elsewhere.

Honest mechanics are hard to come by!!
Tyler and company have been very helpful in helping me with my dual-sport needs. I have taken both of my dual-sports to him and they and I have been taken care of nicely and fairly. The dude knows his stuff!!

Little Tylers live inside CB750 engines.
Hayasa motorcycles is essentially the only shop you should concern yourself with if you love Japanese motorcycles. Tyler manages the shop without trendy concerns and he never, ever, repairs anything unneccessarily. He's good for a smart remark, excceedingly generous with his space and time, and an all around example of how and why people should love 70's japanese bikes (NO GOLDWINGS THOUGH). He made fun of my project the entire time I was building it but in the end even he had to admit that it was pretty cool. He even popped a small victory wheelie on it during it's inauguration. Thanks Tyler, even in from nyc.
