I graduate in May and I've had a great experience. My professors have been very knowledgeable and helpful. My advisor, for accounting, is outstanding. She sends emails to remind you of the upcoming semester and assists in choosing classes. She'll even respond to emails on weekends. I finished my degree online but the online professors respond quickly.‎

and I find that most people who actually take the time to write a "review" tend to have had bad experiences. My time at HPU has been fantastic because you get out of it what you put in. Along the way, all of the HPU professors (well, most of them-- they cant all be perfect!) and administrative staff have been great. And in response to the last reviewer-- it is really easy to print out unofficial transcripts on their website-- or order one by phone for five bucks. I think that any university system has flaws-- but overall HPU is a good school...not to mention you get to live and study in a beautiful and culturally diverse paradise.‎

Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit. Hawaii Pacific University is very much the same...a wonderful place to visit. Trying to get a diploma, on the other hand, can be near impossible. Unfortunately this is not due to their challenging curriculum, freshmen entrance standards, or high cost. Its because their administrative staff really dont care. Take my case, for example. I've been finished with classes for nearly a year now. I submitted my request for graduation in the fall of 07and have yet to recieve my well deserved diploma. Sometime around December they lost it. I was told I have to wait now. Its now late spring of 08 and I still have no diploma. Their excuse is that the printer is slow. They won't even send me a free transcript to prove to employers that Ive completed my schooling. I really had some wonderful professors and the online schooling was great, but the school administration is out to lunch.‎

I think Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) is the school that you can learn many culture from friends. Many foreign students. Professors are well in educating people and friendly. There are online classes for people who can't come to class. ...
