5/31/2009 My mother passed away earlier this month and I wanted to hold a memorial service for her. The original funeral home I wanted was booked, so they recommended Harry Nauman, another home affiliated with the Dignity chain.
The service costs were reasonable and the services provided exceeded all of my expectations. Craig Forrey, the funeral director, was professional, low-key, and thorough. We hashed out the details, and they let us know what information they needed, so we sent them photos etc.
Their facility is top notch. They have a memorial chamber for the service that seats approximately 200 people and is wired for speaking and multimedia presentations. They passed at programs at the door and directed attendees to this room before the service.
Afterwards, they had all of our items organized in a bag: the music CD ( I made it but they have music too), two copies of a slideshow they put together with photos we provided, thank you notes, the sign-in books and more.
I highly recommend this funeral home especially if you are in South Sacramento. This home is directly across from William Land Park. Even if you are not in the south part of the city, it is not a long distance to drive in Sacramento (we were coming from near mid-town and it took less than 15 minutes to get there driving on city streets.
