RUN AWAY
It has been 12 months since Harrienger Contracting completely renovated our entire kitchen. They have the perfect combination of poor knowledge and skill and a lack of pride in their work. Whether they are plumbing, laying tile, installing countertops, or running electrical, they either don'ÃÂt know how to do the work properly or cut as many corners as possible. When you point out errors and/or cut corners, they will act surprised and say 'ÃÂoh'ÃÂ as if they didn'ÃÂt realize how crooked the tile they just laid was or that the siding was hanging off of the house from where they installed the window (we had to fix it ourselves and were picking up trash/broken glass/cigarette butts for months after they left). Our tile grout has cracked, the dishwasher backs up, the overhead sink light is not centered, the list goes on.
12 months later, I am still fixing errors. A plumber right now is completely re-doing the leaking pipes under the sink that have damaged and molded the wood inside our brand-new sink cabinet. He took one look and said, 'ÃÂA plumber certainly didn'ÃÂt do this'ÃÂ As soon as I told him the name of the contractor he told me, 'Oh, they'ÃÂre the epitome of bad contractors'ÃÂ The folks in the industry know the Harrienger name.
In addition to poor craftsmanship, these guys will attempt to bully you into overpaying. They promised us a detailed bill, which turned out to be a pile of receipts with a number written on the top. After looking through it, there were receipts for tools, t-shirts, and other items not directly related to my project. When showing and asking about the items in question, I got the same "Oh," response. Do not let these men in your home!
