This place gets a lot of negative comments about the tools because they are all made in China and other various overseas manufactures.The reality is that so much Craftsman stuff is also made overseas today,

When comparing the quality of some tools I thought HF had comparable if not better tools in some categories. Factor in the cost and its is a better deal all around. I do tend to stay away from things such as their cordless items, but I have not tried them so I can't speak to their quality. Hand tools however carry a lifetime warranty so I will buy them all day long, the cost is often 1/2 the price of other places. For at home, these are a great deal.

This store has been hit or miss on customer service. Sometimes I go in and they are really nice at the check out, but more other times the service is horrible. I can overlook this however because all I do is go in, get what I want, check out and leave.

This is a great place to buy tools for cheap. As might be expected the tools don't always last as long as higher priced tools at other stores but there is a wide selection and sometimes we don't need our tools to last more than one project. For the most part, I have had great success with items purchased there.

PROS: cheap and selection
