Hansen's Cakes is famous for it's custom designs. When we wanted a cake with a picture of a specific Pokemon on it Hansen's was able to do it. The cake is very rich, moist and expensive.

This is the best cake in the world. The sales staff is just so helpful and take great pains to make sure that my cake design comes out exactly as ordered each and every time. I have even had occasional cakes delivered as a present for special people, who have raved about the results and became fans as well.
My favorite flavor was the kahlua mocha chip, but now they have come up with a new tiramisu filling that is so light and flavorful that i have switched over to that as my #1 choice.
I like that I never have to refrigerate my cakes when I get them home, as they have no milk in them and can stay out overnight. This is a big help for me, as I like to get them the night before the party so I don't have to run out in the morning, and storage is an issue.

I ordered a really cool cake for pick up in the Beverly Hills showroom of Hansens, and when I went to get it, the figurine on top had toppled over for some reason. The manager immediately called the bakery, who sent over a decorator (who arrived withing like 15 minutes!) and he fixed the cake like there had never been a mishap. In life these things happen, and the professional staff at the bakery never let it phase them. They kept me calm and took care of the problem.
I'll tell you that having the little fresh samples on hand didn't hurt either. They are so good! The party turned out to be another success, and all was well.
I tell all of my friends to get their cakes from Hansens, and they do! They all love it as much as I do.

When I first moved to Los Angeles, I went to Beverly Hills and found Hansen's Cakes on Beverly Drive. The ladies working there took the time to welcome me to the city, and offered me fresh cake samples. i was hooked. Now, whenever I need a cake for any occasion, I go to Hansen's. They are always happy to see me, and remember that I love the chocolate cake with the chocolate chip filling the best. They even remember that my wife likes the white cake with lemon filling, even though she only came in once! The workmanship is on the highest level too. Their stuff should be on television!

Hansen's Forever. Everyone I know is so loyal to this Los Angeles iconic bakery, where the very best tasting cake around comes out looking like mini-works of art. There is nothing that Hansen's Cakes cannot do when it comes to design, etc... from portraits to sculptures, to wedding and holiday cakes...they take the cake.
They are 100% Kosher (dairy) and now offer gluten-free, vegan, and sugar free options for the cake (although I wouldn't get the sugar free, as I want to eat their sosososososo yummy butter creme frosting!)
There have been some people who 'dis the place, but I know that enemies for many places are out there, and to take these criticisms with a grain of salt. My own familly has been using Hansen's for generations; my grandparents got their wedding cake there in the 1930s, and my children want no substitute for their birthday celebrations.
You should be very specific when ordering, as the decorators will do what is asked of them, but don't take liberties. Good policy.
In short: Great cake, great decor, convenient, and priced below most other places. FIVE STARS!!!
