Just another referral service

I was very dissatisfied with this service. I had some work done on one room. What was supposed to be a one day fix turned out to be a three day job. The final cost was 2.5X the original estimate, and the job was not up to par. I called a different contractor which ended up costing even more (but at least it got done). The handyman that Ken sent did not come prepared with all the tools, or materials, and I had to run to the local hardware on several occasions to pick them up, since things were already behind schedule. The guy showed up late, left early to "avoid traffic", and Ken argued the fact that he worked for 3 days as why the end price was 250% of the original estimate. I wasn't expecting the original estimate but the final price was way off. And then after our discussion he adds his 10% cut on top of it.‎

Had a handyman/carpenter sent over to my house to do some minor

Had a handyman/carpenter sent over to my house to do some minor cabinet woodworking. Their website says and CEO Ken said over the phone $35 trip fee + $65/hr. x 2 hrs minimum, all of which I agreed to. BUT when the handyman showed up at my house, he tells me there's an additional 10% overhead surcharge. I do not appreciate these types of last-minute, "hidden" charges. I've already invested the time in selecting them over others in price, and the carpenter was 2 hours late coming to my home, so I could not cancel or renegotiate on the spot. Work performed in my home was OK. With this hidden fee approach, I will never use this company again.
