I love this school! by Carla S. at InsiderPages
I have taken several classes from Heather White- what a wonderful teacher and person! She teaches from the heart, she knows and lives her work. This woman embodies and definitely lives what and how she teaches - to connect with your client on an energetic, rich way to give your client an unforgettable experience.!
This whole school's philosophy is the same. I've met most of the teachers and they all are serious about their profession, knowledgeable in their area of expertise and very approachable and down to earth.
I look forward to taking more classes at HHI, love being there!!
Carla S.

Worst class I have ever taken by Linda B. at InsiderPages
Save your money! This was the worst class I have taken in 20 years.

I am an esthetician who is in the market to learn new techniques I can incorporate into my business and classes. I saw a spa facial massage class listed and thought it would be good to learn from an expert in massage some techniques specifically for the head, neck and shoulders.

I have never been in such an unprofessional situation before. The instructor was very anti-skin care and anti-beauty industry. I listened to her put down skin care, my industry and make false statements about labeling and cosmetic chemistry. Even after letting her know I was an esthetician, she continued to tell other students in ear range of me about a negative experience she had with an esthetician. The class was misleading and inaccurate about a lot of things. She claimed to be an expert in cosmetic chemistry but I have never heard anyone talk about chemistry the way she did and I have taken classes on chemistry in college and from Rebecca James Gadberry.

It was such a waste of my time and money. I do not recommend going to this school - especially if you are an esthetician. When I called to complain to the program director a couple of days after the class she actually stood up for her teacher's behavior. She sent me an email and didn't address the reason for my call to her.

My advice is to save your money and go to good massage school.

Hands on Healing: My path to healing
I first attended Hands on Healing Institute in October of '05. I was immersed into a whole new world. The basic training course is only ten weeks and I love how they offer so many hours of advanced courses that I can take afterwards. The best part is that they won't make you commit to a certain number of classes after that or anything, so you can take courses at your own pace and as your budget allows. Classes are small and closely knit. The teachers are top notch and there is so much individual attention. One of the best perks is getting massaged so much since we practice on each other.
You see, I thought I was going to learn a trade, which I did, but I got so much more than that. I was welcomed into a community of the most warm and open people I have ever met. I started a path to healing myself physically, emotionally and spiritually. It's an ongoing work in progress; I'm still taking advanced courses to this day. I couldn't be happier with my job. Each teacher has a wonderful unique gift to offer and I want to take this time to thank each one of them for their patience, love and support. I'd also like to thank the director of the school for facilitating this beautiful space to grow. From my heart and the hearts of everyone you??????ve touched, directly and indirectly, I thank you.
If you want a little taste of what it's like at HHI (my fond nickname for the school), they offer $30 massages to the public! I know that there are some courses that are offered to the public as well. I can??????t recommend this school enough!
