I am a man, and the kind of haircut I ask for, is the kind where you walk out looking really good, but no one says, "hey, you just got your hair cut?" That is what I love about how easy it is to talk to Lynn. She gets it. In the past, I've gone to stylists, who say one thing, and do another. They cut they way 'they' want, instead of how I want it. I was letting a friend ( a professional stylist) do my highlighting for years. It wasn't always what I wanted, and I had to have it "fixed" a few times. I finally had enough and while searching online I saw an advertisement for Hair We Are stating they were experts in color correction. My colorist Biz greeted me upon arrival and I felt instantly comfortable. She took me back to discuss what I wanted. She picked up on what I had in mind right away, made some suggestions and got to work. Biz gave me the exact color and highlights I had been wanting for so long. She really nailed it and I am so happy and have had lots of compliments. I am extremely picky about my hair and often don't like it right away until I"get used to it", None of that here, I walked out loving it and still do! I'll be back for more!

I went to Hair We Are because of how great a friend of mine always looks..I was SO pleased with my haircut! I have EXTREMELY thick hair, and I have always struggled to find a way to make it look thinner and more flattering. Beth was able to thin it out without making it look choppy or strange, and it doesn't need to be "done" every day to look nice, a huge bonus! And color! She took her time to correct the color of my hair, and recommended what she thought would work best. She continuously monitored the color application on my hair and touched it up until she was happy with it. She told me that if for some reason I wasn't happy with it, to come in and see her and she would correct it - gratis. After a nightmare of a time with my last coloring, I really appreciated her work. I can just wash and go, which I think is the earmark of a great haircut! I would recommend this salon to anyone!

I drove home 3 1/2 hours for Thanksgiving, leaving in a rush, having no time to get anything together, not to mention my hair. My mom is a pretty new customer of Hair We Are, and she looks great!. So, that's why I went. I'm so jealous that she's got this salon so nearby. I mean it's fabulous. My hair looks the best it's looked in years. The color is so natural, with perfect highlights. The cut is just different enough that I have a new look without it being so different. The people there were friendly, as if I'd been a regular, and they know I'm from out of town. It's a warm, friendly place, that makes you feel at home--and make you feel comfortable, because they are so confident about their skills, and they took the time on a busy day to listen to what I wanted. This is the best way to start a vacation.

Hair We Are is an outstanding asset to the Hudson/Columbia County area, and the owner/founder Bonnie Rooney is a true talent. Every time I go in, she takes the time to consult with me, and determine the best cut for my look, lifestyle, and how I'm feeling. I have been to a good number of stylists both here and in the city in the past, and have not found any that can compete with Bonnie's quality/artistic cut. Furthermore, as my colorist she provides me with fresh ideas to update my look. She's a master in color. A while back I insisted that my husband give the place a try, and he came away very impressed. Now he's a regular customer, and he get lots of compliments. It's a very welcoming salon-he feels comfortable, bantering w/the stylists, and getting a lot of attention. I recommend Hair We Are.
