My husband and I were in Tucson for a conference which happened to overlap with our 5th Wedding Anniversary. I found The Grill on CitySearch, and because of the excellent reviews, made a reservation. The location is lovely, the atmosphere and decor beyond reproach. However, the food was only average. I ordered the foie gras appetizer, which was very thin and overcooked ($17). My husband ordered the scallops appetizer, which was essentially tasteless. The spinach salad was a little better. His arugula salad was really good. We both got the filet and substituted the sweet potato puree for the yukon gold puree. While it was good, it wasn't anything overwhelming. This restaurant is merely "good" as far as the food goes, but you're really just paying a lot of money for the atmosphere and the service.

The ambience, decor, and the grilled chicken was wonderful. I'm bringing my husband and kids here for his birthday! I thoroughly enjoyed dining here. :)

Visitors to Tucson MUST findt his spot and reserve a table for around sunset. This former girls school offers a spectacular setting, impeccable service, and darn good food. If you miss sunset then relax outside at the grill where on cool nights there is a kiva fire and live music to keep you warm under the stars. The Dining romm is pricey but well worth it considering the service and ambience. Treat yourself and go!

Very nice experience overall. Our favorite restaurant in Tucson on our short vacation. Watched the sun set in the main dining room. Great food and service. Small problem with an annoying fly, and entrees were priced too high, but would definitely recommend it.

This is THE place for a romantic dinner in Tucson. It's the most beautiful restaurant in Tucson, with sweeping views, sensational food and service. Be sure to stroll about the grounds and check out the library.
