I'm LMAO every time I read one the reviews for gus tailor shop. 3wks wait to get something done? Reasonable prices? There are a great many other places that will be glad to take your business and will give you the same quality if not better and not have you wait so long. I mean there one just a door down that does a better job, takes less time and charges less for the same flawless work.

I first found Gus when he used to do alterations for J Crew and the Banana Republic flagship store on Michigan Avenue. I had a pair of pants with cuffs hemmed and it was impeccable!!! It came back looking better than the original. That's when I asked the store manager for his information and called him up and asked if he would do alterations for me even though he was not open to the public at that time. He is always professional and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of his work--clean and detailed and I guarantee you'll be satisfied if you're a picky person like me. He does a great job on jeans with original hem, sleeves on jackets, even hard to do projects that require reconstructing an item of clothing. Well worth the drive for me to get there. I highly recommend him!

My work requires me to wear suits all the time and I am very small and short and always need my suits altered, I have been to so many tailors that just never meet my standards. By the way i'm very picky. I decided to try this place and I loved it!! I loved the advise the tailor gave me to make my suits fit my frame perfectly. I think i found my permanent tailor!
