Unprofessional, rents to convicted felons
As per their own employees, they hire convicted felons to work for them. Be aware of that before you allow them to manage your property. If you rent from them, be aware that convicted felons will be in your home as agents of your landlord. You will probably be stuck with inadequate (or no cooling). You may have parts of the structure falling down. Getting it fixed will not happen. They may cost you money by saying a rental will be ready on a certain date, but when the time comes, it still hasn't passed inspections and is uninhabitable. This, of course, puts renters in the position of having given notice to one landlord, but the second landlord doesn't come through on the date agreed upon.
When I was preparing to move into one of their properties, we set a move-in date. When we met to get the keys, sign the lease, etc, there was a notice on the door that the unit had failed an inspection. The notice had been there for almost a week, but Laura never checked to make sure it had passed. So, I was forced to continue paying rent at my previous home, while having turned over deposits and first month's rent to her. The cooler never worked. The back porch was literally falling down. Neither were ever fixed.
This is not Internet gossip or rumor. This information is all first-person. The employment practices were related to me by a current Grijalva employee less than a week ago. In her words, the company regularly rents to and employs convicted felons. The tenant information comes from being a tenant of theirs for a period of 3 years.
