Go Elsewhere to Purchase by Pam N. at InsiderPages
We did buy one car from this dealer - we pretty much knew what we wanted and thought we got a good price. But then, the games began. We were shuffled around and given the hard sell for all the dealer add ons & extended warranty. You have to tell them no more than once or they don't think you mean it. When we were in the market for another Ford, I did not want to even consider another trip to Green Ford. But I was having trouble finding the vehicle I wanted with the options and color I wanted. Another dealer had already located something close to my specifications in their network and was willing to go to another state to get it. The price we were quoted was the same as if we had found it on their lot. I decided before commiting to check with Green Ford just to see what they had. I walked in and told them what I wanted and what the other dealer was willing to do. Green Ford didn't have the vehicle I wanted either, but they offered to get one - the same one as the first dealer - and charge me $200 to go get it. I walked out, but the next day the sales manager from Green Ford called to find out why I wouldn't purchase from them and offered to pick up the car for only $100. Needless to say, I did not purchase from Green Ford then & will not set foot in their showroom again. There are plenty of other car dealers in the area - Ford and otherwise - who treat you with respect.
