This is a great place for a business lunch. I don't come here often because its fairly expensive, but I always enjoy it when I visit. I've never seen this place packed, but that's part of the appeal. You can have a nice quiet conversation without having to yell. Service is amazing - everyone is very attentive and helpful. The food is great - I like everything from the bread and spread they bring out at the begining, to the actual entrees. My favorite is the salad with chicken and avocado.

I've only eaten dinner here, but had the neatest sampler platter that gave you a taste of many of the dishes they offer. The atmosphere and service were both wonderful too.

I ate here on our last trip to San Diego. The food was outstanding. I ordered the crab cake and the beef fillet. Both were done very nicely. My husband had the duck with a fruit type sauce (I can't remember what fruit exactly) that he loved. The entrees do not come with any sides or salads so don't go with a really big appetite because everything else is ala carte and this place is pricey. The bar serves up some very good martinis.

This is such a nice alternative to the clubby downtown restaurants. Feels more authentic, like real San Diegans actually go here for a drink or two. and you can actually hear your date talking! Haven't been for jazz on the weekends, but we plan to for sure...
