You can't miss it if you are trying to find this place... corner of La Costa Ave and El Camino Real.

I came here during the anniversary which makes select dishes only $3 and change. It was my first time eating at a broken yolk but unfortunately, the food was on the dry side. I had the eggs benedict. It came with fruit and a side of hashbrowns.

The eggs benedict hollandaise sauce was a bit on the sour side. Not what I'm used to. Oh well, I can't complain too much because the meal was on the cheap.

I also ordered the Mimosa, which was only 99 cents at the time, which gave me quite a buzz!!! Who knew breakfast could be a time when you drink again?!

The service was lacking but only because they were rushing to get everyone through. I felt bad for our waitress. She seemed so stressed. I have been back here since then to sample other dishes but this memory stuck out for sure.

they have amazing breakfast and lunch!
start out with cranberry or pomegranate juice and i always get the breakfast sandwich, on sourdough bread with ham cheese and eggs, served with hash browns or fruit, it is amazing!
my boyfriend loves the monte cristo, a ham and cheese sandwich, but instead of just sourdough bread they serve it in a french toast sandwich.

the staff here is very nice, although we almost always have to wait for a table they try and make it as quick as possible and everything is usually speedy once you get sat.

Great breakfast and lunch, wish they had dinner. We have two vacation rentals at La Costa Resort and many of our guest opt for Broken Yolk at least a couple of times during there stay. Always good.

Good for people watching but the food isn't breathtaking. I believe I could cook a better breakfast.

I like it better than IHOP, but there is better out there.
