Gordon Biersch - Mission Valley in San Diego
It was the first time I’ve ever been to the Gordon Biersch in Mission Valley. Just like the one I’m used to in Hawaii, it had a very open and stylish atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and at 3:30pm in the afternoon, there were very people in the venue. It was a perfect place to meet up with colleagues and friends. And, it was quiet enough at this time to have a conversation without having to yell or talk over a noisy crowd.
I met a friend there yesterday and we both ordered ice teas and salads. I ordered the Salmon Salad. The salmon was a bit dry and I really didn’t like the strong charred flavor. My friend ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and she absolutely loved it. Apparently, she had been to this venue many times before and when we sat down, the first thing she said was, “I know what I’m having…the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad.” Her salad did look delicious.
Our ice teas were great…I guess you can’t go wrong with those. Our waitress was also great. She was extremely pleasant; she smiled the whole time she served us. And, when we asked her why they did not serve any garden burgers or wheat bread, she provided us with an answer that was both diplomatic and logical. She represented Gordon Biersch very well.
