Nice restaurant / brewery. They have really great beer that they brew themselves. They have great burgers and salads. The atmosphere is cool. It's a big place right off the 8 by Mission Valley. Great place for happy hours, business lunches and dates.
Pros: beer(s), food, service, quality

Gordon Biersch - Mission Valley in San Diego
It was the first time I’ve ever been to the Gordon Biersch in Mission Valley. Just like the one I’m used to in Hawaii, it had a very open and stylish atmosphere. The restaurant was clean and at 3:30pm in the afternoon, there were very people in the venue. It was a perfect place to meet up with colleagues and friends. And, it was quiet enough at this time to have a conversation without having to yell or talk over a noisy crowd.
I met a friend there yesterday and we both ordered ice teas and salads. I ordered the Salmon Salad. The salmon was a bit dry and I really didn’t like the strong charred flavor. My friend ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and she absolutely loved it. Apparently, she had been to this venue many times before and when we sat down, the first thing she said was, “I know what I’m having…the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad.” Her salad did look delicious.
Our ice teas were great…I guess you can’t go wrong with those. Our waitress was also great. She was extremely pleasant; she smiled the whole time she served us. And, when we asked her why they did not serve any garden burgers or wheat bread, she provided us with an answer that was both diplomatic and logical. She represented Gordon Biersch very well.

Delicious Pulled Pork and beer
I've had to come here a couple of times for meetings and overall, this place is pretty tasty.

My favorite is probably the pulled pork sandwich which is made with their bbq sauce called Marzan (sp?). It's fantastic and hefty and it comes on a Challah bun which is great. The sandwich is supposed to come with their housemade chips but I always substitute it with their garlic fries and this is really good.

Their own brewed beers are also tasty. The atomosphere is decent and the service staff is always helpful and prompt. It's definitely worthwhile to go there if you are looking for a meeting place.

Beers good.
I don't really care for the food here. It's ok. But the beer is great. I have trouble making up my mind so it's fun to get the sampler. You get 7 or 8 sample size beers. The garlic fries are so stinky! Man they load them up with garlic. Last time I was there I had the hummus salad with salmon. It was pretty good. The hummus wasn't spectacular but the salmon was good. I would probably just stick to the beer though. The bar may get crowded after 5pm, when a happy-hour crowd hoists a few pints of seasonal Bavarian-influenced beers. A menu of fusion and New American dishes include beer-friendly offerings like shrimp and chicken pot stickers, Moroccan-spiced lamb chops and the signature garlic french fries.

Asian Pear Martini
The first time I tried their asian pear martini, I was hooked! I don't drink beer but my friends ordered the beer sampler and I heard nothing but raves about it.
