Goodwill
When I first saw that Goodwill had opened up in EastLake, I smiled and thought of all of the people who must be cringing when they realize that a thrift store has opened up in this neighborhood. They probably see it as a bad thing, but I love thrift stores and that the proceeds help people out, so I am thrilled. Given the recession, this might be a great place for people who need things on the cheap, and there seem to be a decent selection of house decor and other things like that. It is not a huge store and there is not a huge selection of clothing, or that impressive a selection of books or records, but it is a nice start and I hope it expands to be a store that many people in the community can use.
