I stopped donating to Goodwill because the last time I dropped off some donations, the employee turned right around and gave one of the bags to someone hanging out on the street corner. I know they were giveaways so it's not a big deal -- but at least wait until I've driven off!

I agree, this is the best good will around, I found a couple favorite sweaters and pants at this awesome shop. Prices are a little steep for a thrift store, but in all a great shop.

Some thrift shops in Los Angeles seem to think that because they are in an affluent part of the city, they can charge ridiculous prices for used items. This is one of them. Granted, I don't know anything about designers or what makes a piece of furniture particularly valuable, but I do know that I would not spend $150 on a chair from Goodwill, and I have seen this location charge this price for a chair. They have a decent amount of furniture here, but it doesn't tend to be that great, and it's pricey ($10 for a used TV tray? They're $8 new in other stores!). If you are lucky, you may be able to get a good deal on a piece of furniture if it is part of that week's half price tag sale. I bought a small table for $10 this way.

The store has a very large selection of clothing, and is significantly larger than the Goodwill at 6th and Santa Monica Blvd. in Santa Monica.
