New Patients
My mother and I just switched doctors since this was only about 10 minutes from our home. Neither of us had to wait more than about 15 minutes to see our doctors. The staff were all nice and professional.

The only problem we had was when we were told my mom's prescriptions had been taken care of and one was called into at the local pharmacy and the other two were called or faxed to the mail order pharmacy, which never received them, so I had to call the doctor's office back about that and I let them know there had been a problem. All my prescriptions were called or faxed to my local HEB pharmacy and were waiting when I went to pick them up.

The other problem we had was that we were not told that intakes for UnitedHealthCare patients are only done at certain days at the Culebra site and once we arrived, found out we'd have to drive across town to the other site, which I refused to do. We picked the Culebra site because of its proximity to our home. The patient advocate at the Culebra site went ahead and did my mom's intake rather than reschedule an appt for us to come back.

We like going to Gonzaba because the lab is in the same building and so convenient and didn't have to wait more than five minutes for it either. My mom is 90 years old and Dr. Tarver was very thorough in reading her prior information before she came in to see my mom and also checked her thoroughly. She also ordered extra tests since my mom was having some heart abnormalities. Overall, we were both very pleased with the care provided and didn't have to wait. The staff were all nice.

Yes, there are mostly Hispanic employees and Hispanic patients, and we are white, and had no problem. My mother's doctor, Dr. Tarver is black. Dr. Curras, my physician is Hispanic. I'm the wife of an air force retiree and Dept of Defense husband so I've been all over the world and seen all types of doctors. I have absolutely no complaint about these doctors or nurses at Gonzaba.

No Doctors present
remedial healthcare at it's best! ma,pa,all other acronyms except M.D. this place is a money factory and an insurance bilker.A flat out joke! most of the staff is in t-shirts and jeans with visible tattoos.Physical therapy included stretching on my own for 20 minutes, then a light 5 minute massage.and that's it! ALl insurance companies should investigate this place.

Gonzaba fails again
On Dec.24,we took our son to see a doctor at Gonzaba, but was seen by P.A. Sparks. He was diagnosed with Bronchitis. P.A .Sparks assured us the medicine would be called in to our pharmacy, but it never was.We left Gonzaba at 12:30pm.Gonzaba was closing at 2:00pm.We contacted the exchange # when we found out with our pharmacy that no medication had been called in.The person at the exchange # said the on call doctor would contact us within 30 minutes, but never did. We continued to contact the exchange# and still did not receive a response from any doctor. As a result of the meds not being called in on time our son's condition worsened and we ended up taking our son to the ER.

if your not a mexican dont go here
i could diagnose myself on web md istead of going here. staff is rude and they all dress like hookers. the doctors want to try and make into a emergency room when it just a clinic. save time and money and go to a real clinic that has good doctors. all they have here is PA's and MA's that dont know what they are doning or talking about

Garcia, Florentina by unpleased p. at InsiderPages
i hope they get another experienced clinic coord. for the nw clinic, she belittles the staff, i've heard several employees say she is unfair, hires her family members and allows them to do as they wish, she has favoritism and if you don't see things on her level you are out. i think they had good employees in the past and she runs the good ones out, please hire someone more caring and who cares about the staff and patients and not only about herself & hired family members. as for pt care i agree it is a cattle call there, tina lies about wait times e.g. she said wait time was less than 1 hr. , but i over heard her say just lie to the pt's even if they must wait 3 to 5 hrs. poor customer service, don't be fooled people there are much better clinics in the westover hills area now seek and you shall find. I know we did and we are much happier and pleased.

never again at GMG
