Cody has been attending Golden Paw Day Care since he was 4 months and he just turned 6 YEARS !
I met Cody at the SD Humane Society while unemployed. Of course two weeks after he adopted me I found the almost ideal job - almost because of great pay, great opportunity BUT loooong hours. Cody is special - he had been abused, was afraid of EVERTHING and is a German Shepard mix. Without the proper attention, love and care it was likely he could become very aggressive and not have a happy life. On the advice of the Humane Society he began attending Doggie Day Care at the Golden Paw. Good for him ?????? and especially good for me as it meant I needed to put Cody first, start work at a reasonable hour and leave work at a reasonable hour in order to pick him up by 7P.
Even then the staff was caring and attentive to Cody (and me !). Quite often Cody would fall fast asleep on the ride home that I literally had to wake him up to get him out of the car and into the house. He was, and continues to be, a VERY happy hound enjoying a guiltless friend ?????? me !
Well, the Golden Paw staff and management have undergone changes in the past 6 yrs ?????? improving all the way. Cody and I have gone thru changes as well. He is now at home 2-3 days a week and looks forward to his days at the Golden Paw.
The facility is clean, the staff are caring, I am happy and most importantly Cody is a happy, well adjusted dog, I am thankful for the Golden Paw b and mostly I am thankful Cody is in my life.
