So i brought in a pair of really expensive jeans that i treated myself to (the first pair i ever spent more than 80$ on, costed nearly 200). It was a pair of raw japanese selvedge denim. So the jeans i bought were pretty long so i brought them into this shop to hem. charged me 12$ JUST TO HEM which i thought was pretty outrageous, but decided to go for it. when i got there and tried on the pants, the taper was totally off due to the hem so i asked for a taper and after they spent the time and measured me making me think they were going to it on the spot for free they ended up saying it would cost 20$. this was at xmas eve and i wanted the jeans to be worn at a party so just went with it. i ended up spending 32$ and the jeans ended up horrible. and the infamous japanese selvedge was gone too..they MESSED UP my pair of jeans. never going to this place again. I can get my pants hemmed/tapered in CHINATOWN for LESS than this awful place. i hope this helps. so i guess my thesis was NEVER ...

Several of my friends have been telling me about Golden Needle for a long time. I decided to give them a try and had them do a couple thousand dollars worth of custom clothing.
