I was very impressed with this private school, it's curriculum and policy standards were immaculate. My son's first year was good and he seemed to be excelling at a good pace. This some what offset the constant requests for donations and mandatory requirements of script, volunteer hours etc. However; we received a notice that 2010 tuition would double and this in addition to all other requirements would put my Kindergarten grade child's tuition at upwards of 12k annually. Really? That is more than a girlfriend of mine pays for pre-med courses. With all due respect, what on earth is needed to cost over the avg of $1000.00/month from each child at the grade level of Kindergarten? Given that El Dorado County is known for its public education scores being above average, I find the new prices to be absurd and in all honesty not worth it. I would rather put the money towards extra curricular activities to broaden my childs experiences and save for his college tuition.‎

It was not worth the price.

We were told our child would be fluent in Spanish, computer literate (even msdn certified) and taking potential college placement courses... Well I have been there 5 years and have yet to see any student leave the school meeting those criteria.
My son just entered public school and has excelled in Spanish, and computer literacy. Last night we was writing the style sheets for his own web page.
At the end of the day it felt like we were paying money, just to be able to brag about it, rather than get our moneys worth.

BTW if your child needs any help with classes, the school is unable to help. They recommend you pay to have your child tested through one of their "partners", and ultimately suggest sending your child to a public school for a year so they can catch up.... We won't be returning.

Great staff, great curiculm and friendly parents. My son has been at GHS since Jr. K. and is now in first grade. My wife and I love the "values based" education. Respect and education go hand in hand at the school. This is a very high quality education. The new athletic field is a real plus as is the informative website and office staff. The fact that Drama, Music and Athletics are availble makes this a complete education for our son.‎
