This place has the largest selection of omelets I have ever seen! And if they don't have the one you want, they are very happy to have you create your own. It can get very busy, so don't expect the best service in the world, especially on the weekends, but the wait is well worth it. I have been going here for years and it is by far one of the best breakfast joints in Escondido, and Escondido has more breakfast places than any other town I've seen. The omelets are huge and cooked to order and the ingredients are all fresh. In addition to omelets, the have skillets with potatoes that are also pretty amazing. Definite recommend!

I was looking all over for a great omelet house and it's been in my backyard all along. This place can do an omelet right. If you are ever in Escondido and are looking for a great breakfast the Golden Egg is the place to eat.

We really enjoyed eating at Golden Egg. The pancakes are huge, they have a great menu... You can design your own omlet, the choices are endless.

The staff is very friendly and genuine.
