We've been taking our animals to Glenwood Falls for ten years. They have the best vets in the area and I always feel like my pets are getting the best care available.
Unfortunately I feel they are also the most expensive. I had to take my cat somewhere less expensive to get her spayed. They charge over twice what everyone else does for vaccines, and recently my dog cut her leg on glass and they wanted $460. just for anesthesia and a few stitches ! I have also had a couple of times that a vet was not available during regular hours for emergency walk in care which I found annoying since they are a hospital. The receptionist is always a little testy (but that seems like the norm everywhere).
I hate to do it, but I think I'm going to look for another vet. If you have the funds, this is a A+ vet hosp.

I am leaving employment of this hospital soon but wanted to share to viewers my take on Glenwood Falls. I have worked for several other veterinary hospitals in the past but nowhere compares to here. I must say I would bring my pets to this hospital for the rest of their lives if I weren't moving out of state. I can honestly NOT say that about any other vet I have worked for. This place has become a family to me as well as the clients and their pets. I will never forget the family I have acquired here. Thanks to all!!!

Glenwood Falls Animal Hospital has been invaluable to me as a foster for the HSPCA. They take my calls and help me out with very sick animals for little or no cost. Only a vet who truly loves animals would do this. They take very good care of my personal pets which is why I take my fosters there. I can't tell you how many times I have called with extremely sick fosters and they call me back immediately if not take my calls right away. They have literally saved the lives of several of my fosters with their advice. Dr. Derrick is a very caring and loving vet. Dr. Filip who is gone was also wonderful. I can't say enough about this clinic. They have never turned their back on me and for no recognition whatsoever. They just care about animals as much as I do. The girls at the desk are always polite and helpful. The groomer by the way is great. Let's just say my dogs wag their tails and pull on the lead when they get out of the car in their parking lot. THey love it their, especially to get groomed by Kim.

I have been with Glenwood Falls for several years. I just recently had to put down my diabetic cat. It was a long haul with getting his medication regulated, weight balance, etc. Dr. Derrick was wonderful, but the day came where we had done all we could do, and we had to put Pumba down, I still tear up thinking about him. Everyone was so kind and understanding. I have also had my dog in for surgery and again, no complaints. One of the few places around where you get treated fairly.

After we adopted a young dog, I called several vet offices to find our new veterinary service provider. Glenwood Falls' staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone, and their prices were much better than anyone else's, so we decided to give them a try. We couldn't be more satisfied with our choice! Courteous, respectful, quick to answer any questions or reschedule due to our busy schedules - this clinic is everything we could hope for. Our dog loves them, too!
