Ok, so my girlfriend and I have purchased a total of 10 appliances from Giant appliances. Our last purchase, an LG refrigerator just broke last night and we lost all of our food... but no big deal it's only the third time it's happened in six months. We both travel for a living, so we love coming home to a puddle of melted mystery stink juice all over the kitchen floor. We immediately celebrate our wise purchase from Giant Appliances. To add to the festivities, we throw all of our spoiled meat and fish away, and relish in the enjoyment of another $200 well spent. But thank God for Giant's customer service, they go way above and beyond. They don't replace the fridge, they don't offer any compensation for the $600 in lost food, but they do tell us that they hope they'll fix it next time... and tell us "don't be frustrated Giant is just a distrubuter and we'll be glad to refer you to LG to discuss our problems with them." Oh, and to treat their loyal customers extra EXTRA special, they'll be happy to sell us an extended warranty to cover all of the future mishaps... of course "not to get any extra money out of you, but so you'll have peace of mind in the future". And the manager is so pleasant. She says she "makes a practice of going above and beyond for her customers" but no, there are no other options in this case, other than fixing the fridge again and keeping our fingers crossed. Well, that's all the peace of mind I'll need.
