First of all, there are different reasons I have gone to this tailor over the years. Sometimes, I had a cheap garment for a group activity where everyone received the same sized sack to wear - -thus we all needed alterations. Other times, I had very expensive garments that needed very careful alterations on delicate fabrics. On occasion, I have had to re-alter men's pants that were done poorly by Nordstroms or other large retailers. For all these needs, this wonderful mom and pop shop has filled my needs. Really, these are Beverly Hills level tailors slumming it in Whittier. Their excellence hasn't been unrecognized by the community. It can take 2 months to have a complex garment altered. And prices are not cheap. One silk dress we recently had done cost $85 for hemming. Believe me, it was a fair price. I wish this man and woman good health. When they retire, Whittier will miss them.‎
