I absolutely love this ice cream shop. It has some of the best ice cream combinations around! My family and I have been going to this place for generations!

Gerties is an old time icecream palor at a newer location. While this location lacks some of the charm of the old neighborhood establishment the icecream is still supreme. Try the Vanilla on any sundae,. It has a prefect balance of flavor, sweetness, saltiness and texture that I have not found elsewhere. If you are serious about icecream, please do not overlook this Chicago treasure.

Gerties is almost hidding right accross from Daley College. If you don't know about it, it will be kind of hard to spot it while you're driving. This place looks like out of the 70's, it's really cool. Their ice cream is the best around. I've gone here a couple of times and the guys that work at Gerties have always treated me some nice. They get good tips. They also have hot dogs and sandwhiches which are good too. It's always empty late at night, so this is kind of a cozzy place to take your girl after watching a movie or having gone somewhere.

Gerties Ice Cream is located accross the street from Daley community College. They have the most delicious homemade ice cream ever!They offer hot dogs, burgers, fries, ect. and they also offer Lindy's famous Chili- I'm not a big fan of chili- but my friends love it. I go in here for the ice cream. period. They offer delicious sundaes- one of my favorites is the Nabisco Sundae- creamy vanilla ice cream, covered in strawberrys with Nabisco wafers. This place is perfect for after a movie date. The service is prompt and friendly!! plus it is fairly inexpensive.
