WHEN I WALKED IN THE STORE I WAS GREETED BY BOTH REPAIR TECHS... THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL...I TOOK MY VACUUM TO GET REPAIRED AND I WAS OFFERED THE OPTION TO LEAVE IT TO HAVE IT CHECKED FOR THE PROBLEM.. WHILE I FINISH MY APPOINTMENTS FOR THE DAY. THEY CHECKED IT FOR FREE AND CALLED ME TO TELL ME WHAT WAS THE PROBLEM... THEY ASKED IF I WANTED IT FIXED AND FOR A SMALL FEE... I HAD IT FIXED AND READY FOR PICK UP THE VERY NEXT DAY... I KNEW GEORGES VACUUMS HAS BEEN THERE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS ...MY PARENTS FULLY TRUSTED THEM WITH ANY VACUUM REPAIRS... AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY... NOW SO DO I...!!! I RECOMMEND THIS STORE VERY HIGHLY FOR ANY VACUUM REPAIR OR PURCHASE... THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE PRICES ARE GREAT!!!!! TWO THUMBS UP!!!

I was just reading the reviews of George's Vacuums... and I happened to notice that there is a customer that is making bad reviews under different names in different websites for this store .... he's under "stevenmail8" and under "patrick w."
I believe this guy needs to get a life...and stop trying to cause bad business for Georges Vacuums... I have been in this store and the customer service is professional and friendly and i recommend this store very highly to anyone that is looking to purchase or repair a vacuum. To this guy "steven" or "Patrick"...Or whatever your real name is..... I hope I'm not the only one that noticed what you are doing.... you should be ashamed and you need to get a life!!!!!!! Get Over It !!!!!

I was very unhappy with my experience at George's vacuum. The customer service was poor, the quality of their receipts are poor, and I believe that they may have taken one of the attachments from my vacuum.

When I first came into George's vacuum, I found them to be unfriendly, but against my better judgment had them repair my vacuum. They didn't smile, they didn't wish me a nice day, and they didn't do ANYTHING to show me that they were happy for my business. They had an "I could care less" attitude.

A week later I picked up my vacuum. When I asked for a document that would show what kind of work they had done on the vacuum, they scribbled some notes on a small piece of paper. When I told the man that I couldn't read his note he told me not to worry and that I didn't need to be able to read it. He indicated that he could read it, which was all that mattered. I objected but the man would not budge.

A few weeks later I realized that I was missing one of my attachments. I can't be sure that George's Vacuum took the attachments from my machine...but I do know that I had the attachment before I toke my vacuum in and that I haven't been able to find it for the four month.

I went back into George's and asked if they might have found my attachment. The man refused to help me unless I could show him a receipt and also tell him what kind of machine I had. It seemed like a reasonable requests, but it was the man's attitude that really bothered me. The man didn't even offer to take a brief look around the repair area to see if he could find my attachment. He looked irritated by my very presence in the store. I left and went home to find the requested items.

I went back to George's for the second time that day and brought in the requested information. I spoke with a new person who offered to sell me the missing part at half price. The problem was that he said he would have to see my vacuum to know exactly what attachment would fit it. Of course, I didn't have my vacuum with me. This man was nicer than the first guy, however I walked out of that store and will never walk in again. I'm not going to go back to George's for a third time in one day just so they can sell my own attachment back to me!!

I understand that attachments sometimes get misplaced when repairs are being done and I can understand that they would want to see proof that they had worked on my machine.

What I don't understand is why the staff at George's Vacuum feels like it is okay to be rude to their customers. I always tried to be very polite to them and I wish they could had shown me the same courtesy. I also don't understand why they couldn't provide me with a quality receipt that lists the exact work done when I had spent almost $80 on a repair. Scribbled notes do not equal a good receipt!

It's now been over four months and I still haven't found the attachment. At this point I'm 99.9% sure that George's Vacuum took my attachment and didn't give it back to me when I picked up my vacuum.
