I do a lot of beading and order most things on-line. However, I do like to head down to National City to see what General Bead has on stock. The place is a little scary when you first drive up since it is in an unmarked building in a bit of a shady area. You probably will have to try the door to see if they are open -usually it is Tue-Sat 10:30 am - 5 pm. They use the gather-mark-and-pay procedure, so when you walk in, take a tiny order form and clip board provided for you and write down the numbers and quantity of the beads on the wall on the tiny order form. Then, when you give it to them, they will get what you wanted from the back and ring you up. I find lots of silver findings that are unusual as well as lots of sparkly crystals and freshwater pearls. Just fun to go and walk around!
