THEY KILLED MY DOG
When we asked Dr. Gurmani what happened, he stated "I don't know, the dog turned BLUE" I didn't know that Dogs could turn blue). Dr. Gurmani, finally after pestering him for a logical reason, said that it was "kidney failure". This is when we enlightened him that the person he is talking to is a medical doctor and is wrong and stated how/why he is wrong with his "diagnosis". Then he decided to change his mind, saying it was "dehydration", which then again, we corrected him that if the puppy was dehydrated during surgery his blood pressure would have dropped and he would have known. He proceed to yell at us on the phone, stating "this is BULL" and he "DOESNT HAVE TO TAKE THIS" and hung up on us.

They also lied saying they asked us if we wanted blood work done before the surgery (which might have prevented our puppys death), which they NEVER asked us, and now cannot give us ANY proof that this was asked. Do not go here. They killed our dog and will not take responsibility. They will not answer our phone calls anymore and are refusing anymore information. We are now left with a big bill for his surgery and for his cremation. What a horrible establishment. This doctor should be banned from what he does. He only wants money. He doesn't care about the life and wellbeing of his patients/animals or their families.

What a sad excuse of a man. Dr. Gurmani.

$ WEARING DOCTOR'S UNIFORM by Masako N. at InsiderPages
This vet is very dangerous to all pets. They are only focusing in making $$$.

They harmed my cat badly and over charged.

Please don't take any chance to risk your pets.

Bad Vet Bad!
If you truly love your pets, don't take them here. If you love being ignored or treated as if you're invisible once eye contact is made, then go here. I've only ever encountered one pleasant front desk assistant. They never smile or acknowledge you and say the common polite "Hello, someone will be right with you". I never feel welcome there. The vets are ok, except for the new young one, Dr. Gurmani...he was rude to me and then argued with me in the waiting room in front of another vet and customers, claiming he hadn't told me something regarding my dog's shots that I had just repeated back to him in the examine room (twice, so I was clear). Maybe he's just new and doesn't have that pleasant bedside manor yet, but I'm not waiting to find out. I've been taking my dogs here for years and am always uncomfortable...except for Dr. Villicana, he seemed cool, but not always there. I'm not thrilled with the fact that they are closed 12-2 weekly. Also, if you do go, pay attention to your bill, several times I've gone and they try to charge me $50 for an exam, when all my dogs are just getting shots.

This vet should be closed down!!
Had been going to Gateway for several years without many problems. Then one time my cat came back from getting a blood test with cuts on her head. They said they had trouble getting her out of the cage (never had trouble before).

Then my other cat started loosing weight and throwing up constantly. For 6 months they could not find the problem even after tons of expensive tests and x-rays that they said they took. I asked to see the x-rays, he put the file down on the table and left the room, coming back in a minute with some normal looking x-rays. But in the back of my mind I wondered why weren't those x-rays kept in my cats' file? Were they really those of my cat? Why do they always take the animal out of the room for shots and basic stuff?

Took her to another highly recommended vet and another set of x-rays were taken and clearly there was a tumor in her stomach. She was treated very well at the new vet and eventually passed away from stomach cancer.

After a while we got a new cat and he started scratching his ear for about a week and I figured it was ear mites. Our good vet was booked up for two weeks, so I took him to Gateway figuring how could they possibly mess up with ear mites?
After an examination the Sr. Dr. proclaims that he had an ear infection and that they needed to gave him anaesthesia and flushed his ear and drain out the puss right away and that there was no sign of mites. Shocked and scared that my cat needed immediate treatment for something so serious and unable to get through to my good vet I consented.

When I came to pick him up I was pulled aside in a back room and told that the news was not good that the infection was so bad that they couldn't see what was the cause and that after poking around his ear started bleeding so that I should take him home and give him Gentocin in his ear then bring him back in three days for surgery because it w

One Happy Dog
Thank you - Thank you - Thank you!!! Lucky thanks you! You all could not have been nicer. Lucky is doing great now and he just finished his final medication. (I think he knew it was helping him) I can not believe what a difference it made. If only he could have told me sooner but alas he is a new dog now. I've told all my friends what a great place Gateway Animal Hospital is - (like you need any more business in your front office). Hopefully we will not have to see you soon other than his shots. You're the best.

Jon & Lucky
