CAUTION! CAUTION! CAUTION! by DARRELL N. at InsiderPages
We hired Gary's Pool for our new pool and spa, the contract was very vague but given the size of the company and us being first time pool buyers/owners made a bad assumption that the contract would cover us. They tried to charge us for 59 hours of rock digging, at $160 per hour, and the guy dug in the rock for less than 20 hours more like 10 from everything we have heard from the workers. They caused ruts in our yard and broke part of our fence, which the GM refuses to fix. The contract specifies 25 feet of electrical to be covered as part of your cost of the pool, but that's not what we meant when they have to pay the electrician and get more money from you. The contract was for the pool AND spa and we paid for coping and tile which is extra, and the GM states, that the sales person should have never committed to the tile and coping for the price on the pool. So that'll be an extra $2k. Now they are here installing our spa, which is over 3 weeks late, and the frame for the spa isn't correct and the flatwork not poured properly. This has been an absolute nightmare, and the OWNER of the company defers everything back to his GM who doesn't help at all. The job supervisor, is rarely here, if even once per week when he is supposed to be SUPERVISING the site daily according to his boss. I DON'T recommend this company to anyone, and suggest before you buy a pool get everything in writing with no detail too small left out of the contract!
