The Garden Gate is a nice nursery, but in terms of plant selection and prices, there are better places in town. Yes, their plants are of good quality, but the sources are the same as most other local nurseries. They typically offer several programs/events which are a great resource, and in terms of nursery grounds, they are exceptional.

I took my children for the Easter Egg hunt and they had a blast! We got lots of loot and beautiful pictures! My mother-in-law buys all her plants from here.

Its what sets The Garden Gate apart from the rest of the gardening world. While the price of their plants may be higher, if you look closer you will find that the products are of expectional quality. The gift shop has products from around the world and are all hand selected by the owners. If you haven't been to The Garden Gate, you don't know what you are missing, they offer specialty blend coffee and teas to customers at no cost, classes(material cost only) and seasonal events as well as charity events. The y have a gardening program calle, Gardening Made Simple that provides a step by step directions and designs for landscaping their homes. They have a great christmas tree program and childrens classes.

CONS:

I think they are too expensive. You can get the same plant at charvets for much less. One of my plants that I bought there died in the first week. They have some plants that other nurseries don't.
