I have been in Japan for 6 years total and have always searched for an authentic Japanese Sushi shop in my area. This place was well worth the 50 minute drive. I enjoyed the "Sakura Set" which included a plate of sashimi (Salmon, Halibut, and Tuna", Udon Soup (Noodles), Miso Soup (Miso base), Tempura Asparagus/Potatoe/Zuchinni, Wasabi, Ginger and Radish with a glass of water. This cost me a modest $16 and I was definitely satisfied after the meal. The kicker is that this place is conveniently located in mid-Rancho Mirage and offers a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy your meal with light conversation. The Sushi chef and staff were very accomodating and it reminded me of the courtesy and respect given to a customer in Japan. For an hour I was in Japan and I loved it. Thank you Fuurin.‎
