Fuchsia
Heather Sullivan has been designing interiors professionally for well over 20 years, but she has been collecting vintage knick-knacks and antiques since a child.
Recently given the opportunity to take over some vacant space at the Daily Scoop Ice Cream Shop, she jumped on it and seized the day putting her collection on display and for sale to the general public. Although a wall was built between the Daily Scoop and SullivanâÂÂs, Fuchsia there is a door that remains open during most business hours allowing customers to do two old fashioned activities. Enjoy ice cram on the cone, and browse for one of a kind collectibles and antiques. Both things you will not find in wall mart or enjoy online.
In one antique bowl is a collection of scrabble tiles for .50â or 3 for $1.00. Local artisan work hangs on the wall, and hand made jewelry (both antique and locally current design) fill the case by the register and just about everything in the store is for sale. As a designer, it is quite possible that if you are seeking a special piece for your own home and do not see it in the shop, Heather may know where to find, or will see something close at one of the estate sales she often attends.
Pricing is reasonable and the collection is charming, if you are stopping into the Daily Scoop for some ice cream then I suggest you open a few minutes for browsing in Fuchsia, or viceâÂÂversa. Who knows, you just might come across a very cool old fashioned ice cream scooper for you own use.
