Unique tile selection, can be $$
I like From the Ground up. It's pretty easy to go in and have a look around without any sales pressure. They have a ton of options that you won't find at Home Depot or other larger tile places. Very unique options, some of which will stop you in your tracks. Like these metal tiles I saw in there (forgot to take a picture) that I would build a room around, if I was so lucky. Show stopping.
They have a table and chairs you can sit in to flip through catalogs. If you bring in a layout of whatever it is you're working on they will help you select tiles. With fancy mosaics and everything, it's so much better to have professional advice. I think you'll find their pricing about the same as other high end places, not like contractors warehouses or anything.
There is usually one or two staff members in there at the most so you're better off coming at a time when they're not busy. Otherwise, it might be tough to get assistance. Parking during peak hours on the street might be tough too, like on weekends. Price obviously depends on your project so I just listed mine.
