very seldom have I been able to get someone to take my call, It has always gone to a voice mail after the Police Dept transfers me, I have left messages that were never returned. I do not know if they need more support from the city that they are not getting if that is the case maybe more people of Friendswood should complain and get the attention and support they need to make it an effective and efficient service for the people of Friendwood as well as the employees. I hope that there is never a major emergency and someone gets injured by an welcomed animal in the neighborhood and needs their immediate attention

I've been a homeowner in Friendswood for the past 17 years. Although a dog owner myself, I've never had to use the local animal shelter until 2 years ago. I have a neighbor that lets her dog run free. It barks at everything & leaves messes on everyone elses property. I have repeatedly called the animal shelter & each time they have bothered to come out, they only warn the owner. Needless to say, this has not been the least bit effective. Now they just got a 2nd dog that is allowed to roam free at will. City of Friendswood Animal Control Department is a waste of every dime that is put into it. I think the whole dept should be outsourced, so it could be managed effectively.

Terrible and frustrating experience. No-one is available to help on the weekend and if you are lucky enough to stumble on a cell number and someone actually speaks to you , that is all you should expect.... words, no real actual physical help. I have been trying to get help for an injured dog all weekend and have been unsuccessful. This is a horrible and frustrating position to be in, and when someone finally says they can help and they will call you back, then dont! Then they don't answer the phone again, talk about unprofessional! These people that profess to be animal rescue but arnt, are worse than the people that abuse!
