The staff is ignorant. They are not only untrained but blow you off and say F**K YOU to the customer. When I complained to the controller DAVID PROCTOR, he told me to call. When I called it was his voice mail. The store is dirty the help is threatening, put this business to sleep, they deserve to go under. At least at the Home Depot or Lowe's they would have gotten back to you.

I visited the Friedmans Store last fall looking for rubber boots to wear outside at the farm.

The staff is very hepful, and they have lots of seasonal decorations too. Lots of plants, and bushes/ trees in the garden area.

prices are very reasonable. I do recommend this shop to others in this area.

Friedmans is the biggest hardware and home improvement store in Sonoma. Recently they added onto the original building and now offer an even bigger inventory. We have shopped here for small things, like garden and household supplies, and larger items like decking materials. The staff are helpful and prices are reasonable. It's fun to walk around and check out what's available and should be even moreso once construction of the store is totally finished.

I found that the personal at Friedmans Hardware in Sonoma to be:
1) concerned and well mannered
2) informed and competent
3) as well as having a good return policy.

What I wish for is an ability to use online resources to check with the store to see if an item, which I need, is in stock.

You respond by saying why not use the phone?

I respond by saying that it is expensive in terms of both time and money.

But I have found the absence of an online inventory-checking ability to be lacking in all other Hardware stores in the county if not the country.

I can only hope that the universal product code numbers present on most goods could be used to post the name, number and description of Hardware items online at Friedmans as well as any other store which wishes to further utilize the internet.

I have been very disappointed and very critical of Friedman's in the past. I am editing my review since the store has had a complete renovation.
The store has so much more stock~ and it is a nice place to go for garden and home improvement needs.
I am withholding comment on more and will add as I can review.
