Castro Valley Safeway is your average remodeled Safeway store. It is a little on the small size...if you go too late in the evening the isles are so crammed with boxes you can't get your cart through anywhere. They have a nice produce section but would be nicer to have a larger organic selection. The deli staff are overworked and are pretty slow and unfriendly most of the time but once you get your sandwich they are great. This store is average but I would not recommend it unless you go early in the morning... The parking is a nightmare so take your bike and just get yourself a sandwich....
