Having read all these reviews, I'd have to agree with all the positive things said about Dr. Franz and his staff. I got my wisdom teeth out TODAY, and I feel completely lucid and comfortable. His staff is truly exceptional and professional, making me feel informed and safe, while also throwing in a little humor and warmth. Dr. Franz clearly knows exactly what he's doing and he took time to answer all my neurotic questions. He also made a distinct effort to get to know me. The actual surgery was painless. If you get sedated, you don't even feel the IV going in (I have tiny veins), you fall asleep after 30 seconds, and you wake up in the recovery room. Yes, the office looks old. Yes, the building looks old. Yes, the bathroom isn't on the same floor. But, for the service, the prices, and the doctor, all these minor details mean nothing. I seriously wanted to hug Dr. Franz after the surgery, and I never want to hug medical professionals.

Don't be put off by the older building, older furniture and office. This is a top notch operation and they removed my back tooth without incident. Very professional staff and EXCELLENT doctor in Dr. Franz. So happy I was referred to him! Don't think twice. There was no pain and I mean nothing....Put me out, removed my tooth and I was up and out of there. Get someone to drive you home.

Proficient - USE only in a urgent- no other choice situation - old dentistry approaches and old equipment, fixtures and furniture (think 1960-early 70's trailer park decor) that make one uncomfortable and question sanitary practices (it is clean but you really have to look) The fixtures and furniture are very outdated and non fresh looking - NO BATHROOM IN THE OFFICE! Very off putting to have to use the buildings public bathroom on another floor in a surgical facility. I would give 2 stars except for the fact that the staff is very nice and helpful they are doing their best and are much more accessible than the doctor who does not even call back after hours when he is on duty.

Dr. Franz is the best. I had an dental implant performed by him over 15 years ago, and will now have another one done in 2007. His fees are very reasonable, his techniques painless, and he really cares about his patients.

They are great: I had to have my wisdom teeth pulled and, my friend told me about Dr. Franz. I was in no pain or anything. Dr. Franz and his staff are wondful people.
