surrounded by about 3 different chain hotels is the precious Foothills Motel. Just making my way into California after driving in from the east coast, i needed to get a good nights sleep. I wanted a clean comfortable room that wouldn't be emptying my pocketbook. A man working at one of the chain hotels nearby recommended this motel, so we drove on over. The staff were very kind and personable. I got a wonderful room at a great AAA rate. We drove right up to our room (on the corner). The rooms are decorated beautifully in a simple way. My room was light blue and the bedspread was blue chenille. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a fridge as well as a movie channel!. The bathroom was pink and white with the most luxorious bath products! The aromatherapy hydrating skin lotion from Australia was a big hit for my hands, after washing them over 20 times in the last 2 days of my trip! The dresser is nice and long with plenty of room for a week's stay, and atop has all sorts of booklets with the area attractions. They provide you with a wake up call, and there is a nice free breakfast consisting of a big bear claw pastrie and some darn good coffee! They even have a bowling alley too! We liked it here so much, that on our way back east we stayed again!

PROS: charming, clean, comfortable, affordable, free breakfast!
CONS: none!
